Why "Qualent"
Quality Assurance, Quality Talent. Half of a shop's problems are system problems and the other half are people problems. Consultancies handle the first and wish you luck on the second. Staffing agencies do the reverse. Qualent was built to do both: we build quality systems for small manufacturers, and we staff the facilities that run them, from machinists, operators, and maintenance techs to quality managers. Doing both makes each side sharper. We know what a good hire looks like because we work inside these shops every week, and we know what a workable system looks like because we've watched people inherit unworkable ones.
How we work
- Plain English over jargon. If your team can't explain the system in their own words, it will fail the audit and, worse, fail the shop. We write systems people recognize their own work in.
- Fixed prices where honesty allows, honest quotes where it doesn't. Gap analysis runs $1,000-$2,500 flat, published right on the site. Implementation gets quoted firm after the gap analysis, because pricing it before would be fiction.
- Systems sized to the shop. A 15-person job shop doesn't need an aerospace prime's paperwork. Auditors flag bloat as a weakness now. Lean is compliant.
- We'll tell you no. No, you don't need a consultant. No, you don't need AS9100 yet. No, don't hire a quality manager into a documentation vacuum. The advice is the product. The projects follow from honest advice.
Leadership
Qualent was founded by Kevin Ngongo, a quality practitioner who has sat on every side of the audit table: building systems, hosting registrar audits, and answering for them when the findings come in. Client work is led personally, start to finish. When you call, you get the person accountable for your project, not an account manager.
